Window Materials

In many ways, the frame material is the most pivotal element in selecting the right window for your home. What color should the inside be? What color should the outside be? Are you committed to that color, or would you like the flexibility to paint a different color in the future? Are you concerned about efficiency? Appearance? A balance of both? Each question point back to the frame material more than anything else. WindowCraft offers high-quality products constructed from a broad array of materials that allow homeowners to achieve the desired curb appeal.

ALUMINUM CLAD WOOD

An aluminum-clad wood window is a wood window with an extruded or roll-formed aluminum skin applied to the wood exterior (extruded aluminum being far superior). There are many aluminum-clad exterior color options, and most manufacturers will provide custom colors for a reasonable fee. The wood interior of aluminum-clad windows can be painted or stained any color. We offer products from Sierra Pacific, WeatherShield, Loewen and products through the Loewen Custom Shop.

ARCHITECTURAL ALUMINUM

Aluminum is another material used to make high quality window frames. The material is attractive and slim, low maintenance, and extremely durable. Aluminum windows are typically the same color inside and out. Aluminum frames are an ideal combination of a lightweight and strong material that can meet many architectural styles. Due to the light weight and structure of aluminum, large multi-panel door systems with thin frames and large glass have become a common feature in commercial installations. We offer products by WeatherShield, Gerkin, Arcadia, Solar Innovations, Albertini, and Panda.

ALL WOOD

Wood windows can be painted or stained on the interior and exterior. They can also be painted a completely different color in the future with proper wood painting practices. Interior colors are completely up to you and range from bright/off white (traditional) to matte black (simulating the look of a metal/steel window). Many different wood types are available as well for stained installations or a desired wood grain look. We offer wood all wood windows from Sierra Pacific, WeatherShield, and Loewen. Through the Loewen Custom Shop, we offer pre-finishing for wood products in over 10 colors.

STEEL & IRON

Steel is another popular frame material for windows and doors and continues to evolve as a product with regards to appearance and efficiency. The structure of steel allows manufacturers to build thin frames and sizes not available in any other frame material. Steel frames offer dark colors and slim-lines. Steel windows can be used as a feature/accent window or door or they can be used throughout the entire house. Windowcraft is able to custom design and build your iron and steel windows, but we also supply Albertini and French Steel Co. windows.

ALUMINUM RESIDENTIAL

Aluminum windows can be made to appear traditional, contemporary, commercial, or even to simulate the look of steel. WindowCraft is pleased to offer many different aluminum window options to meet the design intent. We offer a selection of windows by NT Windows in Aluminum for residential projects.

These color options are neutral and blend with the home nicely and look great for years. Vinyl windows are very energy efficient and offer tremendous value for the homeowner.
